According to a random poll conducted in Ottowa, Canada, Canadians rank paramedics as having the most respected profession, according to new poll results. 

Out of 29 occupations, firefighters do well, too — coming in second to paramedics, City News reported. Nurses, doctors, pharmacists and farmers are also in the top six.

Firefighters were No. 1 in last year’s Maru Public Opinion poll, and paramedics were not included that year.

The pollsters randomly chose 1,500 Canadian adults on four occasions between March 18 and May 3, 2022.
